Still hoping for a Wii U VC release of Chrono Trigger, you listening S-E?

snesfreak
He's been playing video games his entire life, and has gotten progressively worse at them as he's gotten older and more decrepit. He's been running this place (into the ground) since 2013. He's old. Keeps writing about Nintendo despite mountains of evidence proving he should never write anything. Very old. Lifelong Nintendo fan, doesn't care what you think about that. Did I mention how old he is? Because he's very old.
  • Don’t ask Square Enix for anything on the Wii U. They are a lost cause. Everyone who stayed at S-E is a playstation fanboy and/or a Nintendo hater. Everyone else just up and left.

Ask Nintendo to start making a Chrono Trigger successor-series of RPGs. Nintendo has the money, talent, and time. They gave Intelligent Systems their own huge building! Intelligent Systems alone should be working on not only a Nintendo-branded Chrono Trigger clone, but large-scale improvements on other well-regarded RPGs as well.

Well I guess I could just play it on Wii VC (own it there), or learn Japanese and play my Japanese cart (yeah right).

  • I have it on Wii VC as well. Square Enix unfortunately, still gets a cut from Wii and Wii U Virtual Console sales. I’m going to keep asking Nintendo to research how to develop RPGs in a way that keeps them profitable while still aiming for (at least) Chrono Trigger like production value.
