The Nintendo Entertainment System Is 30 Years Old Today

NES

30 years ago the system that saved the gaming industry from the crash of 83 was released in the US. It remains one of the greatest systems of all time, and has sold over 61 million units worldwide. The NES launched with 17 games, including Super Mario Bros. Its library contains some of the greatest games ever made. It’s a true classic and holds some of my fondest memories from when I was a kid.

NES Launch Games

  • 10-Yard Fight
  • Baseball
  • Clu Clu Land
  • Duck Hunt
  • Excitebike
  • Golf
  • Gyromite
  • Hogan’s Alley
  • Ice Climber
  • Kung-Fu
  • Pinball
  • Soccer

So Happy Birthday to the greatest console of all time, it definitely deserves that title.

He's been playing video games his entire life, and has gotten progressively worse at them as he's gotten older and more decrepit. He's been running this place (into the ground) since 2013. He's old. Keeps writing about Nintendo despite mountains of evidence proving he should never write anything. Very old. Lifelong Nintendo fan, doesn't care what you think about that. Did I mention how old he is? Because he's very old.
  • Happy Birthday NES! The one that started it all after the buissness got burned to the ground!
