During the presentation at the Investors briefing, held by Nintendo today, President Kimishima announced that Nintendos new Membership service will be named “Nintendo Account”. It connects console, handheld, smartphone and PC together. This service will also utilise cloud technology to transfer data between consoles and smartphones. They did not specify when the new Account system will launch.

The new Club Nintendo successor named “My Nintendo” was also introduced. You can earn points by purchasing and playing console and mobile games wich can be spent on DLC, goods and game cupons. My Nintendo is launching with Nintendos first Mobile game “Miitomo” in March of 2016.
Once both services are operational, you can expect a much more upgraded online experience on Nintendos devices.
