Video Of Working SNES Playstation Prototype

nintendo-playstation-sfx-100-prototype

Engadget has a video of the SNES Playstation prototype that was found recently, and it actually works. This was the CD based system Nintendo was collaborating on with Sony, it would play both SNES cart-based games and CD based games. The deal famously fell apart due to Sony (supposedly) wanting 100% royalties for CD based games, Nintendo and Sony couldn’t agree on that and Nintendo was forced to bail on the deal. The video shows it playing cart based games, as well as the Super Disc demo cart. Though for some unknown reason it fails to detect the disc drive.

He's been playing video games his entire life, and has gotten progressively worse at them as he's gotten older and more decrepit. He's been running this place (into the ground) since 2013. He's old. Keeps writing about Nintendo despite mountains of evidence proving he should never write anything. Very old. Lifelong Nintendo fan, doesn't care what you think about that. Did I mention how old he is? Because he's very old.
