The Game Awards Recap

At The Game Awards on Thursday night, Nintendo took home a few awards.
Splatoon won for Best Shooter and Best Multiplayer Game (to the eternal saltiness of some people), while Super Mario Maker got the award for Best Family Game.
They also did a really nice tribute to Satoru Iwata, including a speech from Reggie. Which you can see below.

Also, Geoff Keighley showed some actual integrity and called out Konami for not letting Hideo Kojima come to the show.

He's been playing video games his entire life, and has gotten progressively worse at them as he's gotten older and more decrepit. He's been running this place (into the ground) since 2013. He's old. Keeps writing about Nintendo despite mountains of evidence proving he should never write anything. Very old. Lifelong Nintendo fan, doesn't care what you think about that. Did I mention how old he is? Because he's very old.
