Tantalus is Working on Nintendo Switch Version of Rime

Tantalus, the developer behind Twilight Princess HD, is now confirmed to also be working on the Switch version of Rime. They are handling work for Sonic Mania on the Switch as well.

Developer Tequila Works told IGN:

“The Nintendo Switch version is being developed by Tantalus, the studio behind the HD version of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. We worked side by side with them to ensure the Nintendo Switch version is absolutely true to the original vision we have for RiME, and they are doing a terrific work indeed! We are really enthusiastic about Nintendo Switch and we are immensely happy about releasing RiME on that console, but it’s too early to discuss future developments. Let’s finish RiME first! :)”[/.quote]

They also mentioned that they hope to have the Switch version ready alongside the other versions for a May release, and that they’ll try to make a physical release happen for the Switch version.

“There is still a lot of development to take into consideration, but we’re working hard to get the Nintendo Switch version ready for release at the same time as the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC versions in May.”

He’s been playing video games his entire life, and has gotten progressively worse at them as he’s gotten older and more decrepit. He’s been running this place (into the ground) since 2013. He’s old. Keeps writing about Nintendo despite mountains of evidence proving he should never write anything. Very old. Lifelong Nintendo fan, doesn’t care what you think about that. Did I mention how old he is? Because he’s very old.
