GameStop: “Incredibly Strong” Demand For Switch, Near 1:1 Attachment For Zelda

Yet another comment about the Switch from GameStop. COO Tony Bartel spoke to investors today and had some comments about the Switch. Saying that the demand is “incredibly strong” and that the attach rate for Zelda is nearly 1:1.  Software sales in general seem very good going by his comments:

“The demand is incredibly strong for this. As soon as we get it into our stores, it’s out within hours. So we anticipate we’re going to be chasing supply this entire year.”

“The other thing is, every game that’s out there, to have over a five and a half attach rate to this, signifies that a lot of people are finding this a great platform and they’re picking up any games that they can. I mean, we have almost a one-to-one attach of Zelda.”

It’s definitely a good thing that Nintendo intends to double the production of the system for the next fiscal year, they could very well sell every system they make if the demands stays this high.

He’s been playing video games his entire life, and has gotten progressively worse at them as he’s gotten older and more decrepit. He’s been running this place (into the ground) since 2013. He’s old. Keeps writing about Nintendo despite mountains of evidence proving he should never write anything. Very old. Lifelong Nintendo fan, doesn’t care what you think about that. Did I mention how old he is? Because he’s very old.
