The system was hindered by questionable marketing and a clear agenda in the gaming media to spread the “addon confusion” narrative. Before it was even unveiled it was clearly stated that the system was a new generation of hardware and in no way an “addon” for any current system.

Despite all this it had some really good games, including one of the greatest games ever made: Breath of the Wild.
